The Archivist provides customizable instructional workshops and class sessions designed to align with your curriculum. Topics cover a range of skills, from handling rare and unique materials to navigating primary sources and conducting research within a Special Collections and Archives department. We offer the flexibility to curate relevant books or materials for class sessions and collaborate with faculty to develop course-specific projects.
Within the department, you'll find a diverse array of Southern University community-based collections, including manuscripts, slave narratives, rare books, and photography collections.
Sessions can be conducted in the Instructor's classroom setting or within the dedicated classrooms of the John B. Cade Library.
